Students may qualify for financial aid as a resource for Summer Term costs. Application requirements include summer term course registration and a completed and processed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with MSU, Mankato (school code 002360). The academic year FAFSA applicable to the fall and spring semesters just prior to summer term is used to determine summer eligibility, i.e., 2018-2019 FAFSA for Summer Term 2019.

|Full Time||3/4 Time||1/2 Time||Minimum|
* To be eligible for the maximum amount of the Minnesota State Grant, you must be enrolled for 15 credits. However, students who are enrolled for 3-14 credits may still have eligibility. Eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant may be possible for less than 6 credits.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate level credit hours to qualify for federal student loans.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 graduate level credit hours to qualify for federal student loans.
Enrolling at Another School: If you are planning on registering for Summer courses at another school, a Consortium Agreement must be requested to determine financial aid eligibility for courses that are applicable to your degree program at Minnesota State University, Mankato (MSU). The consortium agreement is approved on an individual, course-specific basis; no financial aid is disbursed to the student for enrollment at another school without appropriate arrangements.
